This dive and snorkel excursion is ideal for late risers! Join us for an afternoon of snorkeling and diving aboard the Maka Koa. This is a great way for snorkelers and divers to enjoy their underwater adventure together!
Our first of two destinations is Turtle Point. This area has the second longest, continuous reef on Maui and the Hawaiian Honu (green sea turtles) frequent this area. It is referred to as a turtle cleaning station. The turtles will rest on the sand bottom and the small fish will eat the algae off their shells. Watch these protected creatures, from a safe distance, as they rest on the bottom or they glide gently over the colorful beds of coral. There are several options for the second destination. As always, the plan for the day is always based on wind and sea conditions.
If you're not certified and have been through a Discover Scuba Diving Experience within the last two weeks, you can participate in this amazing Turtle Adventure dive. Please call 800-542-3483 for details on the Discover Scuba Diving program.
Between the end of December and the end of April this trip affords a great opportunity to see humpback whales in the waters surrounding Maui which is a National Marine Sanctuary for these endangered whales.
