Coral Gardens, a reef nestled in the protected bays at the base of the West Maui Mountains,
is a canopy of hard coral that provides nooks and crannies for a spectacular array of marine life.
The coral gently slopes from the mountain cliffs and teams with schools of fish. Parrotfish, angelfish, triggerfish,
and butterfly fish abound. Turtles, crabs, octopus and eels are also resident here.
Between the end of December and the end of April this trip affords a great opportunity to see Humpback whales in the
National Marine Sanctuary.
