Route
Our first stop is the world-famous Molokini Crater, a marine reserve below water and bird sanctuary above. With visibility averaging over 100 feet, this reef system provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Hawaii's diverse marine ecosystem. Molokini is home to a variety of endemic fish species, including Hawaiian garden eels, Masked angelfish, and Long-nose hawkfish. You may also encounter Manta rays, White tip reef sharks, Amberjacks, and Moray eels, while Harlequin shrimp and Triton's trumpets are often found nestled in crevices.
Our second dive takes us to Turtle Town, where a lava-formed reef creates a unique habitat for sponges, corals, octopuses, fish, eels, and shrimp. The highlight of this reef is the Green Sea Turtles, which gather here to be cleaned by a fish called the Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse. As an endangered species, the turtles must not be touched or harassed, but their curious nature often allows snorkelers to observe them up close.

Route
Molokini is a marine reserve with spectacular water clarity and a pristine coral reef. Rated one of the best snorkeling spots in the world, this reef has a variety of beautiful reef fish and animals. More than 400 varieties of fish are found in the Hawaiian waters and more than 25% of these are endemic, they are found only in Hawaii. Occasionally we see dolphins, Whales, Manta rays, and Hawaiian Monk seals with visibility averaging around 100+ feet. The dive depth will be around 60-70 feet.

Route
Our destination is the world-famous Molokini Crater, a marine reserve below water and bird sanctuary above. The first dive of the 2-tank adventure will be inside the crater itself. Molokini is a partially sunken volcanic tuff cone crater just 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui. It's a protected area and designated as a State Marine Life and Bird Conservation District. The waters around Molokini are crystal clear with visibility up to 150 feet, and it is home to approximately 250 species of fish, some of which are found nowhere else on the planet.
The second tank will be a drift dive off the back wall of Molokini Crater. This dive is spectacular, as the sheer wall of the crater drops from 200 feet above the surface to over 300 feet below! It's bordered by open ocean, so you never know what might swim by. Dolphins, mantas, whales, and sharks have all made an appearance there! The back wall is a drift dive or live boat dive, so you want to be sure you can descend and ascend without a line, maintain a 15-foot safety stop without a line to hold onto, and have excellent buoyancy control so you don't exceed the profile depths. Back Wall dives, like all dive sites, are weather and skill-level dependent. This dive profile is generally run to 70-80 feet. All dive sites are weather conditions permitting. From December to April, this trip affords a great opportunity to see humpback whales in the waters surrounding Maui, which is a National Marine Sanctuary for these endangered whales.
